iPhone Cases for Frequent Joggers and Runners

ByMark Harrop

The iPhone is a Brilliant device when it comes to running and jogging. The iPhone will allow you to listen to your favourite tunes as you run and allow you to track your progress. You still have to remember that the iPhone is a delicate and intricate piece of machinery and it must be looked after correctly. When you are running it is necessary to have a case which will secure the iPhone to your body to make sure that it cannot fall and will not cause you a nuance, so you can get on with your run. The best cases for running are strap cases which either attaches to your arm or around your waist. So what do you need to look for when you are buying an iPhone case for use when you are running?

The number one thing that you need to look in a running case is comfort. When you are running you don't want a heavy case or one which is going to dig into your arm. So look for a case which is lightweight and has an adjustable strap so that you can adjust it to the correct size for you.

The Correct material

For an armband you are going to want to buy a case which has elasticated material. This is because when you run your bicep will contract and expand. You must also make sure that material which will wrap around your arm is soft and comfortable. Making sure that the material is breathable will make your run more comfortable as it will remove moisture from your skin and allow it to breath. Materials which are not breathable will cause sweat to build up and can cause the strap to rub on your skin causing unnecessary discomfort.

Waterproof and Weatherproof

If you're a dedicated runner you are going to want to run rain or shine. So you must make sure that your iPhone is in a waterproof case as water damage can cause your phone to stop working. A sign of quality here is a case with a rubberised opening for your headphone wire to slide into. This will stop any water going into your case through the opening for the headphones cable.

Having a case which is machine washable is a good thing, when you are running you will sweat a lot and over time your case will start to smell if it is not washed from time to time. It would be a very good idea if you could find a case with silver Nano technology as the silver will kill bacteria and stop the iPhone case from smelling.
