Apple fans and enthusiasts have circled the 4th of October in their calendars in the hopes that they will see the new iPhone 5. The company has postponed the release of the much awaited iPhone 5, paving the way for the iPhone 4 successor, the iPhone 4S. It was the natural way to go if you stop to think about it, however there were many sighs of disappointment all over the world once the announcement was made. People were really hoping to see the iPhone 5 in action. What they've got instead was a new version of the iPhone 4, with a few improvements and tweaks that will make the user experience more pleasant.
Improved Processing Power
The iPhone 4S comes equipped with improved processing power in the form of Apple's dual-core A5 processor which you can also find in your iPad 2, leading to improved speed with the iPhone 4S.
Antenna Design
The iPhone 4S now comes with a new antenna design which offers double the file transfer speed you would enjoy on your iPhone 4.
Improved Camera
Apple has equipped the iPhone 4S with with an 8 megapixel camera in comparison to the 5 megapixel camera of the iPhone 4.
1080p HD Recording
It was only natural that the 1080p high-definition video capture would be possible with the iPhone 4S. Considering the improved processing power and camera it was the obvious way to go.
Virtual Assistant
The iPhone 4S now comes with an application called Siri which can act as a built-in voice activated virtual assistant.
CDMA and GSM Support
The iPhone 4S now supports both GSM and CDMA networks, a feature lacking the iPhone 4.
Increased Storage Capacity
The iPhone 4S now comes with up to 64MB of Flash RAM on-board for all your storage needs.
Rumors have been circulating for a while regarding Apple's new release and people had high hopes that they will see 4G in the next iPhone model. The 4G isn't present in the iPhone 4S but the hopes are still alive that it will be in the iPhone 5. The new iPhone 4S will not be coming with the 4" display many people were expecting, but instead a 3.5" screen you can find in the iPhone 4 and it's 140 grams heavier than its predecessor. Last but not least, people were expecting to see Wireless charging support and syncing in the next Apple release.
The iPhone 4S comes in black and white color and is available in 16 GB ($199), 32 GB ($299) and 64 GB ($399) model.
